Hyperloop Desert Campus, Nevada

The infinite arid plain of Nevada, interrupted by great geographic features, the kind of which the history of life on earth is read in its sediment lines, inspires the formal solution of the Hyperloop Center. Destined to add a layer of innovation that will undoubtedly mark a paradigm shift in the new era of transportation.
The architecture reflects the fundamental values by which one must look towards a sustainable future, the undulating and uneven roof with a change of scale achieves a tune with the plain masked by the fascinating massifs of the desert, in a discourse mimetic with the context.
The need for a vacuum in the operation of the Hyperloop is translated into as a large interior space in which the different functions of the center are developed, and marks a distinctive relationship between positive and negative space, between full and empty.
The proposal is 330m long by 160m wide, a total area of 52,800m2 and a maximum interior height of 90m. The structure used is porticoes, with slender columns that rise supporting the hollowed-out roof that closes the interior. The main access is through the hall that is hidden under the desert, where the Hyperloop prototype station is located, which introduces the visitor from the beginning to the experience of a new form of transport, and runs through the center to culminate in a large open, green and bright space.
